Roadmap
The Living Roadmap has four delivered columns and a 1.0 column dated 4 November 2026. Every earlier item shipped; two dates moved during Early Access and one planned system was scrapped before release.

The Living Roadmap has been revised four times, and the version published with the 1.0 announcement is the one to read. It is laid out as four columns: CHAOS TERMINAL, HARD RESET, RECALIBRATION, ASCENSION, and a final column for the 1.0 launch.
Column by column
| Column | Status | Items |
|---|---|---|
| CHAOS TERMINAL | Delivered | Chaos terminal, new anomalies, shielded enemy variant, difficulty modifiers |
| HARD RESET | Delivered | Zone 04, wallrunning, SMG, new enemies, six modules, economy rework |
| RECALIBRATION | Delivered | Melee buff, 19 modules, accessibility improvements, engine 5.7 |
| ASCENSION | Delivered | Zone 05, new anomaly (storm), Voltaic variant, sniper rifle, fire mode refresh |
| 1.0 LAUNCH — 4 Nov 2026 | Shipping | Zone 06, story conclusion, new boss and enemies, endgame hub and unlocks, 5+ achievements, community voice update, balance and QoL |
The first four columns are marked delivered on the roadmap image itself. The 1.0 column carries the date and the game's launch marker.
What was promised and then changed
Roadmaps that never change are either dishonest or unambitious. This one changed twice in visible ways.
The November 2025 revision pushed the big updates back. Daniel's note was direct: "Unfortunately, I won't be able to release a major update this year as I'd hoped." Zone 04 moved to February 2026, and the plan to leave Early Access in 2026 held.
The scrapped energy system. In the March 2026 dev diary, Daniel described building an energy-budget system where rare and epic modules consumed energy and exceeding the budget increased damage taken — explicitly inspired by Hollow Knight's overcharming. He playtested it, sat with it, and cut it: "It just didn't feel right for VOID/BREAKER." The reason given was that it would get in the way of unhinged builds, which is the correct call for this game and a rare public admission of a design dead end.
What the roadmap did not include
Three things shipped without being on any published roadmap: the Recycler, the melee scaling rework, and the fire mode refresh. All three came from community feedback rather than planning, which is what the "Community Voice Update" label in each column is for.
The reverse is also true: some roadmap items were deliberately blacked out in the original August 2025 version. Daniel said at the time that they were hidden to avoid spoiling surprises. The boss behind Zone 05 was one of them.
How to read the 1.0 column
Treat it as a checklist with seven items, five of which are content and two of which are systems:
- Content: Zone 06, story conclusion, new boss, new enemies, 5+ achievements.
- Systems: endgame hub and unlocks, balance and QoL pass.
The "more to come" line at the bottom is the roadmap's standard footer. It is not a promise of post-1.0 content, and no post-1.0 plan has been published.
Why the roadmap has credibility
Because the previous columns shipped. Every item in CHAOS TERMINAL, HARD RESET, RECALIBRATION and ASCENSION can be matched to a patch note or a store page change, and the two delays were announced before the dates slipped rather than after.
That is a low bar in absolute terms and a high one for Early Access. The updates page has the version-by-version record if you want to check the claim.
The blacked-out items
The original August 2025 roadmap deliberately blacked out parts of the timeline. Daniel's explanation at the time: "These are things I am not ready to reveal just yet, but I wanted you to see their place on the timeline. Surprises are part of the fun."
In practice the blackouts covered the Zone 05 boss, which turned out to be VOIDWEAVER, and at least one enemy variant that shipped as Voltaic. The pattern is consistent: names are hidden, dates are not.
That is worth knowing when reading the current roadmap. A column that says "new boss + new enemies" without names is following the same convention, not withholding information about scope.
How to verify a roadmap claim yourself
Three checks, all cheap:
- The Steam store page. Anything that changes what the game is — zones, weapons, languages, platform — shows up there. The "Leaving Early Access" banner is the store's own statement of the date.
- The announcement archive. Every major update has a post with a changelog. If a roadmap item is not in any changelog, it has not shipped.
- The achievement list. New zones and bosses appear as achievements with names. TRIDENT and VOIDWEAVER are the proof that Zones 04 and 05 shipped.
The roadmap image is the claim; those three are the evidence. Where they disagree, the evidence wins.
What a roadmap is not
It is not a contract. Two dates moved during Early Access, and one planned system was scrapped after being announced. Both were disclosed before the fact rather than after, which is the standard worth holding a solo developer to.
It is also not a content plan for after 1.0. The "more to come" footer is a mood, not a schedule, and no post-release roadmap has been published.
One more check
If you want to know whether a specific feature is in the game right now, search the official announcement archive for the feature's name. A roadmap entry is a plan; a patch note is a delivery. The archive has every patch note since the demo.
