FAQ
Price, demo, progress transfer, languages, controllers, Deck support, achievements and microtransactions — the twelve questions people actually ask, answered against the 1.0 build.

Twelve questions that come up repeatedly, answered in the order people ask them. Everything here is checked against the 1.0 build and the official announcements.
How much does VOID/BREAKER cost?
$29.99 / €26.99 / £23.99. The price rose from $19.99 on 22 August 2026 and the developer described that as the final increase, carrying through 1.0 and beyond. There is no launch discount.
Is there a demo?
Yes, as a separate free Steam app (3612530). It has been patched through 0.9.25, includes Simplified Chinese, and your progress carries into the full game. It is the cheapest way to decide whether the shooting works for you.
Does my demo progress carry over?
Yes. The developer has stated it in every announcement since 2025: "your demo progress carries straight over". Both games need to be on the same Steam account, and you should launch the full game once before uninstalling the demo.
Is there Simplified Chinese support?
Interface and subtitles, yes. Full audio is English only — the store's full-audio asterisk sits on English. Chinese was added to the demo in July 2025 and has had two dedicated localization fix passes since.
Does it support controllers?
Yes, with full controller support including DualShock and DualSense glyphs. Gamepad navigation through the UI was improved in the RECALIBRATION update, and there is aim assist for gamepad.
Is there co-op or multiplayer?
No. Single-player only, no co-op, no PvP, no announced plans for either. The Steam category list confirms single player, and nothing announced so far suggests that anything changes.
Does it run on Steam Deck?
Yes, Steam Deck Verified. The one caveat is external controllers for the primary player, which is not rated — relevant only if you dock the Deck. Handheld play passes all four checks, so the out-of-the-box experience is the one Valve tested.
Is it on PS5, Xbox or Switch?
No. Windows only. No console version has been announced at any point during Early Access or at 1.0.
How long is a run?
A full story clear spans six zones with a boss at each gate. Individual zone runs are short — the game is built on die, restart, adjust — and the Chaos Terminal adds a post-story loop for players who want to push difficulty. There is no published hour count, and this site does not invent one.
What can be said is how the time is spent: most of it in arenas rather than cutscenes, most of the rest in the modification screen between fights, and very little of it reading.
Is there permanent progression?
Yes. Hacks are permanent upgrades bought with Voidium and decryptors, and schematics permanently add modules to the loot pool. Your save survives every update, including the one called HARD RESET, which refers to the story rather than your progress.
How many achievements are there?
Thirteen in the pre-1.0 build, listed with conditions and global rates on the achievements page. The 1.0 roadmap promises 5+ more, so the number rises at launch.
Does the game have microtransactions?
No. There is no in-game store, no cosmetic currency, and no season pass. The Supporter's Pack is a one-off purchase or a free grant for Early Access owners, and the soundtrack can be bought separately.
What about the price increase — did early buyers lose anything?
No. Anyone who bought before 22 August 2026 paid $19.99 and keeps every update including 1.0, plus the Supporter's Pack for free. The increase applied to new purchases only.
Where do the facts on this site come from?
Steam store data, the official announcement archive, the global achievement list and the Deck compatibility report. Each page carries the date it was checked.

Questions people ask after buying
Where is my Supporter's Pack? In your Steam library as separate entries. If you owned the game before 4 November 2026 it is free; restart Steam if it has not appeared.
Why did my achievement not unlock? Trigger bugs have been fixed twice during Early Access. Open the relevant menu once before redoing the work — several achievements fire on menu open rather than on the action.
Can I respec hacks? There is no published respec system. Hacks are permanent purchases, which is why the first tiers are cheap and the later ones are not.
What is an iteration? A completed loop. The achievements define three tiers: one iteration on hard, three iterations on any difficulty, one on insanity.
Does difficulty affect rewards? Yes. Higher difficulties reward more Voidium, a change made in HARD RESET specifically to make the harder tiers worth playing.
Still stuck
If a question is not here, the answer is usually in the patch notes rather than in a guide. The updates page has the version history, and the enemies page covers the mechanics that generate the most confusion.
For anything else, the contact page has the address.
